VALUES: celebration, community, giving back, mentorship, resilience

The ExtraOrdinary Women Project (EOW) recognizes the immense potential women have to take their ordinary lived experiences and create extraordinary legacies. In that spirit, we bring women together in celebration and sisterood through sharing stories, providing mentorship, and creating space for collective inspiration.

Who inspires you? Ordinary women do extraordinary things.

Simply fill out this nomination form to help celebrate a woman who inspires you. Through sharing our stories, we better appreciate, understand and celebrate one another. Those who are chosen will be interviewed and a photo or likeness will be shared with their approval. Self-nominations are also accepted. (Nomination forms may also be printed and mailed to PO Box 923, Bloomington, IL 61702-0923.)

Nomination Criteria

  • Nominees must reside in McLean County, identify as women, and be over the age of 18 at the time of the nomination.

  • Nominees must exhibit resilience and sustained strength along their life journey in the face of challenges.

  • Nominees generally inspire others around them without public recognition or outward leadership roles. They give back to our community.

Selection Process

The EOW celebrates women who demonstrate strength and persistence and who live extraordinary lives. The EOW Team will select featured honorees from the nominee pool each quarter and highlight their stories on the EOW website, social media and through our media partnerships. Stories shared will be a collaborative process between the honorees and the members of EOW. The purpose is to inspire others and celebrate our honorees.
